DRESS CODE

-=+=-
Today I want to talk about the amazing topic of dress code. First of I would like to say, if there is a need for a dress code it needs to be equal in all ways. At my school I got dress coded because my tank top did not cover my shoulders entirely, but this one guy in my class was wearing a muscle tank not covering his shoulders at all yet he was okay'ed. Second, when I get dressed for school the first thing I think about is the weather. Of course I'm going to wear shorts and a tank top if its hot. I'm not going to wear jeans because my shorts might be "distracting" in the environment I'm in.  I don't think anyone wears shorts to be distracting, they wear shorts to be okay with the weather. Thirdly, what's the deal with the whole leggings rule? Leggings do not accent the butt anymore than skinny jeans do yet skinny jeans are allowed. Even if they did whats the harm there? The top reason is because it's distracting. Instead of teaching girls what they can't wear they should be teaching boys how to act about it. Shaming a girl is not the right way to deal with it.

BLACKMAIL

-=+=-
This week I'd like to talk about a little something called blackmail. When someone trusts you with information, you have to realize that they trusted you not the people you want to tell but you. Personally, I hate giving out secrets so when I tell someone something and they go and tell the next person, or go and try to blackmail you for something to keep it a secret, that really gets to me. It makes me think about if I should even be talking to this person at all. Sometimes situations like these get out of hand. People begin paying the price for something they should've never been involved with in the first place. Blackmail is a very serious topic that no one should ever do.

LOCKDOWN

-=+=-
Recently our school went into full lockdown and it really disappoints me for many reasons. One being, this situation didn't surprise me. We live in a world where stuff like this is completely normal and that shouldn't be reasonable at all. My classmates instead of being distressed or at least a bit worried, they began to laugh. This has happened before and the fact that it has just shows how screwed up everything is. 10 years ago our reaction would've been horrid. Everyone would've been panicking, but because of how screwed up society is we laughed since we were used to it. This really shouldn't be the case.

CELEBRITIES

-=+=-
Since I am now a rant blog, my first rant will be about celebrities. ;)
-=+=-
Personally, I think that the entire idea of celebrities is kind of dumb. Why? Well, certain people are picked out to be role models. Occasionally, and quite often, the wrong people are picked. We look up to photoshopped girls, and aspire to reach their body figures when in fact these aren't even their own figures. Then we also look up to people who throw away their lives for drugs and/or alcohol. Now when I want to idolize a celebrity or pick a role model, I would look at someone whose work means something.  We aspire after impossible goals when we see magazines. I don't think thats what we should set our future goals for.

RECAP

-=+=-
Well, the art show went great and my stuff was displayed. Next blog I might showcase my sketchbook and all the drawings within it, if wanted. I am taking requests even though that rarely happens. :) Thank you for those of you that came with me to the art show. That was much appreciated. I think I might be turning this blog into one about rants. Sorry guys. Occasionally I might continue the art. Thanks :)

ART SHOW

-=+=-
Heyya, so recently I entered one of my paintings in a local art show. Due to this I didn't have the time to draw something for my blog. This art show was oil painting themed. Based on that, it's safe to assume that the easiest thing to do is a landscape. Which would also be the most common one they see. That's why I did a portrait. :)
-=+=-
I didn't take a picture of it, sorry if you wanted to see. One of my close friends also entered the show. Results will be posted at the show by next week. :)

LILO

-=+=-
This week I am drawing Lilo from Lilo and Stitch. This one will be colored unlike the last. The materials you need are markers, pencils, and paper.
-=+=-
Step 1: Draw the outline of the face and hair. Draw the two arms going in the same direction, with two leafy things (sorry I don't know what they're called). Draw the outlines to the facial features.
-=+=-
Step 2: Finish the facial features. Draw her belly and the crop top that she always wears. Draw the hair next.
-=+=-
Step 3: Draw the outline of her skirt. Make her leaf crown an try to make it overlap the actual hair.
-=+=-
Step 4: Finish the skirt. It's a leaf skirt so make sure to make it green. Draw the feet at the bottom with leafy things on the bottom.
